What a clever little pie chart; equal parts truth and hilarity. What is it about quilting that makes one start hoarding fabric? I’ve done more non-quilt sewing than quilt sewing, so I find it odd that even though I use my stash for all sorts of non-quilt sewing projects, I didn’t really start building a stash until I took up quilting almost two years ago.
My fabric stash certainly is modest compared to others (I’m looking at you, Lynn Haberl, friend and owner of Inspire! Quilting & Sewing), so it’s no wonder that I don’t use it much. Most of the time, I buy new fabric for a specific project and then add the leftovers to my stash. So far, I’ve really only done one stash-busting quilt, my scrappy log cabin that is oh-so-close to being done.
Here are some great tutorial collections for stash busting projects; a collection of collections, if you will!
