Blog of the Week: Ruffles & Stuff

I’ve noticed over the past few tutorial roundups that I keep going back to one blog in particular: Ruffles & Stuff. The design is beautiful and feminine (I’m really digging the orange and pink theme), the pictures are gorgeous, and Disney’s tutorials are creative and inspirational.

Thought she isn’t a full-time blogger, I’m amazed at how much Disney has to offer. That pretty much goes for all the stay-at-home-mom or working-mom bloggers I’ve come across since I started blogging myself. I don’t have kids and I still find it hard to come up with time to invest in Darling Adventures. How do they do it?!?!

If you are just learning to sew, or want to start learning, Disney has a great series of basic sewing tutorials that cover everything from supplies to winding a bobbin to making ruffles, of course. As for the rest of her tutorials, here are some of my favorites:

1. Lace Doily Coasters

2. Handkerchief Rosette

3. T-Shirt Apron

4. Time for a Good Book

Please check out Ruffles & Stuff for yourself and enjoy some great tutorials. Oh, and maybe tell her I sent you? Thanks!

  1. It’s things like this that make me wish I could sew :)

It’s a good thing for you that I’m developing a series of video tutorials to solve that exact problem!
